MindaClient is committed to sustainability both environmental and social. We believe that it is our responsibility to protect the environment and to create a more sustainable future for our planet and our local community. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we have worked with Fifty Shades Greener to measure our scope 1 and 2 emissions. Fifty Shades Greener is a leading provider of sustainability consulting services and they helped us to understand our emissions and to develop a plan to reduce them.
With the help and support of Fifty Shades Greener, we measured our scope one and two emissions produced in 2022 as a business that engages in remote working. After measuring these emissions, our total emissions produced was 5.57 Tonnes of Co2. As a result, we offset 6 tonnes of CO2 through Carbonfund’s carbon-free partner program. Carbonfund is a non-profit organization that helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by funding projects that protect forests, improve energy efficiency, and promote renewable energy. The project we have engaged with to offset these emissions is the Reforestation of degraded land by MTPL in India.
We have also been working to meet the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals for environmental and social sustainability. These goals are a set of ambitious targets that aim to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
We are just beginning our sustainability journey, and we are committed to exploring and engaging with different biodiversity projects to have a more sustainable impact in the future and within Ireland. We are also committed to doing more to help our environment both environmentally and socially through environmental and social sustainability initiatives. We believe that sustainability is not just about reducing our environmental impact. It is also about creating a more equitable and just world for all people. We are committed to working with our employees, customers, producers and partners to create a more sustainable future for everyone.
Here are some of the specific actions we have taken to reduce our environmental impact:
- We have switched to renewable energy sources for our home office lighting.
- We have implemented a paperless office policy.
- We have implemented a no plugs policy outside of office hours to reduce energy consumption throughout home office equipment outside of the working day.
- We are working to reduce other ways we can reduce our energy consumption and waste production inside office hours and in our homes when we are not working.
We are also committed to social sustainability. Here are some of the specific actions we have taken to promote social sustainability:
- We offer fair wages and benefits to our employees including access to an employee assistance program.
- We have given access to education opportunities within sustainability and other areas for all of our staff
- We have created a student ambassador programme to improve education and opportunities for final-year college students to grow their knowledge and profile.
- We have partnered with a local charity to develop a workplace wellbeing programme to give businesses across Ireland a programme to support their employees′ mental health and wellbeing.
We believe that sustainability is everyone’s responsibility. We are committed to doing our part to protect the environment and to create a more sustainable future for all people.
